South West Trains revealed as Britain's least popular rail company according to angry comments left on Twitter

An analysis of angry comments on Twitter by rail passengers has suggested the least popular train company in Britain was South West Trains.

The train company had the largest percentage of outright complaints in tweets by its customers, according to a survey of 92,000 messages by social media monitoring company Brandwatch.

SWT, which operates trains from London’s Waterloo station to Surrey, Hampshire and Dorset, attracted 44 per cent of all the tweets included in the study.

A total of 36 per cent of the SWT tweets were outright complaints.

According to the study, First Great Western was the next least popular company, followed by Southeastern.

The company with the most positive tweets was East Coast.

Overall, 29,000 tweets were negative, with only five per cent being positive.

According to the study, the top five complaints were late-running trains, no air conditioning, broken down trains, being late for work and the rush-hour crush.

Joel Windels, lead community manager for Brandwatch said: 'It’s no surprise that people love to moan about public transport in Britain. It’s up there with the weather as one of the things we like to grumble about most.

'However, it’s interesting to look at more specific issues that are causing these complaints, and how these differ between each operator. It may be unfair to label all train companies as woefully unhelpful, but by benchmarking each against its competitors, we can see which ones are managing to pacify commuters most.'

A spokesperson for the South West Trains-Network Rail Alliance said: 'We run the busiest franchise in the UK and one of the busiest train companies in Europe, carrying almost 210 million passengers a year. The volume and amount of communication from our customers reflects that.

'We are already responding to many of the issues raised by our passengers - such as overcrowding, disruption and information provision - with hundreds of millions of pounds of investment in extra train carriages, infrastructure improvements and customer communications.

'Passenger satisfaction remains at a high level and figures for 2012-13 published by the Office of Rail Regulation show that SWT has the fourth lowest complaint rate of the 19 franchised train companies in the UK.

'It is impossible to compare the performance of companies which have a largely long-distance leisure customer base with those which have a high proportion of commuters.'

A36 closure !!! Take that southwest trains!

So this is proof that the a36 was closed late in the night of 5th of march 2014 after Salisbury . This is just me collected data so southwest trains do not call me liar on the route I took when realising this to Yeovil .

Southwest trains suck

Today a southwest trains employee tried to ruin my day

The little hitlerette tried to intimidate me and treat my like sub human

Today sucked

On the 5th march 2012 at 22.46pm I was approached by station staff to take a passenger to take a passenger to his hotel in Yeovil. At the time the station  staff did not have any chits . So they asked me to proceed to the destination in good faith. I was not at any time asked by the staff to quote a price. The destination was a hotel on west Coker road in Yeovil . We left for Yeovil around 22.50-55 in the evening . I proceeded passed Salisbury up the a36 . Parts of the a36 where being resurfaced so where closed off . I had to take a diversion and get on the a303 . The Milage was about 88miles and the meter would have switched to tariff two. The price I charge for this journey is 210 pounds . Which is reasonable for that time of night on a out out of town job. It took two hours to get there and two hours to get back. . In the morning of the 6th of march I went to station to get my chit . I told the lady Sara  that journey was 210.00 . She first said it should be 22.45. She said that was far too much and practically accused me of lying about the route I took . She was rude at that time.but she wrote out the chit for 210 pounds. In the early afternoon of the 6th of march She approached me and my vehicle and accused me of over charging by 170.00 . This behaviour was thoroughly unprofessional . Practically accusing me of deceit . Again she was bullying and rude.She was suggesting to me the job should have for 40 pounds . I still did not say much . She started to talk other cab drivers I assumed she said I overcharged them which I deny and such behaviour was slanderous . So I approached her and asked her why she thinks I overcharged her . Why do you think I overcharged you.  She said it is journey of 60miles to Yeovil. That may or may not be true. However I was going to a hotel which unfortunately for southwest train was not located where they would have like it to be . With diversions the journey was 88miles . The lady would not listen to me but it seems she was happy to slander me behind my back to colleagues .i have done hundreds of jobs for southwest trains .not once have I been accused of overcharging . However this lady gave me the ugliest looks from the moment I requested my chit for the service I provided. Her approaching me was thoroughly unprofessional . Such behaviour was confrontational and she treated me like I was her servant or employee. I will not be spoken to in such a rude manner by a lady I don't even know. She did not listen to the journey details she just went with her pre conceived notion that I ripped her off. I  asked her to explain her self . Instead she walked away accuse me of abusive behaviour . I will not stand idly by whilst someone tries to sully my good name. She then call a _"rational "manager to talk to me and told him the journey details and the fact the lady Sarah  had no right to confront me on the taxi rank and then proceed to slander me in public in front of colleagues
In my fourteen years as a cabbie never have I been accused of over charging .in my fourteen years never have I met such a rude and unprofessional person as Sarah . Somehow she took exception to me . I don't know why because Sarah  did not send me out to do this job. The gentleman working the shift did and asked me specifically to take the fare to his hotel . I was to collect the chit the next day. As a result this is what happened
A journey to London which is eighty miles is roughly £220 . I did more mileage to accomadate southwest trains request and I actually charged 210

That's life

Had a stressful few weeks. Mum has been very ill and has been taken to hospital several times this time She has stayed five days. still don't know what the problem is . She is getting very panicky . I hope she gets well very very soon .

My son isa has quit tae kwon do. I guess he was too tired after football training. I think you could not take the discipline as well. Maybe he will take it up when he's older. It had been a very stressful time trying to work looking after the family and taking care of mum. 

Hello testing done a lot of pain in my head and shoulders and ribs. 

I have to cancel my dsa instructor test part 2 . Trying to study on all this is going on is damn near impossible. 

So ,exhausted stressed out and in pain and sleepy. 

Let's hope The future is a little better by next month.

Deep thoughts

IM tired. Many thoughts running through my mind. Different variables and the consequences of those variables. It feels like some kind of empathic journey. Lately I've been thinking about the futility of certain cycles whilst contemplating the essentiality of other cycles. I have been viewing  concepts and actions as shapes whilst contemplating that everything is a variable .  

For instance I came home from work today and my son wanted to play PlayStation. Seems straightforward doesn't it? Well no. You see there are many variables in the cycle.

Did you do is homework?

Was it done correctly?

Was it checked by his mother?

Was homework checked by his father?

He had to correct his mistakes. 

He had to work hard.

Yeah to plug in the PlayStation. 

It didn't work ,he had to figure out how to make it work

He got upset. Because he worked hard and the fates seem to have conspired to take his reward away.

He calmed down. He got it working. You played with his daddy on the PlayStation and was happy.

See how many variables are in a simple action as that?

We cannot simply control all variables and my thoughts turn to.........nothing

IM at nawabs restaurant in Manchester. I am here for a wedding. It's sanams wedding . She is my cousins daughter . This marriage hall is very opulent . Talk to my cousin Arshad there.saw lots of expensive cars there. Later after the wedding we went to shahida's house in Rochdale . From there I went in the car with Arshad to his house . He told me about rosendale hackney carriage licence been given to drivers without any age limits on a car . They are now allowed to work as private hires in Manchester by high court ruling . He told me Manchester hackneys are ticked off because they have to get expensive cars whilst these guys have cheap bangers being allowed to work in Manchester. Arshad also has two houses now converted into one.
Any way the kids and the mrs are staying at shahida's house for night . Whilst I will stay at arshads
